September 24, 2005 Paint-out

Outdoor Painter and the Alamance County Arts Council is sponsoring a 1-day paint-out at Infinity Farm near Efland, NC.

The 1905 farmhouse, and lovely flower garden, sits on 170 acres of open land. The property includes rolling vistas, five ponds and a creek. A goat named “Bootsie” and sheep with names like “Sue Ellen” and “Pittipat” wander around the area of the 150 year-old barn
The handsome horned “Milking Devon” cattle, a breed that was brought over from England on the Mayflower, graze the field or gather under the “lone tree”. Two of the herd were purchased from Mt. Vernon. The owners hope that they came from a line of cattle owned by George Washington. They named the first three cows, “Harry, Larry and Curlie”.

This invitation is strictly limited to the date of Saturday September 24th from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Requests for access to the property before or after the designated time and date should be made through Outdoor Painter.

Registration fee is $10.00 per person.
