October 22, 2005 Paint-out

Outdoor Painter and the Alamance County Arts Council is privileged to host the Fifth paint-out of 2005 on Thunder Mountain a little south of US 40 near both Burlington and Mebane.

This exceptional site belongs to one of our own plein air artists who has graciously opened the property for the inspirationally wide vistas of rolling hills and attractive landscaping it offers.

The date was chosen based on consultation with several sources for one mostly likely to provide peak Fall colors.

This fifteen-acre site not only offers views of distant mountains in the West and a near-by valley, but it also has a pond, and there are beautiful views to the South and East. The home has high porches offering unique settings from which to paint. This invitation is strictly limited to the date of Saturday October 22nd from 9 AM to 4 PM. Request for access to the property before or after the designated time and date should be requested through the Outdoor Painter.

Registration fee is $10.00 per person.
