Outdoor Painter June 10, 2007 Event
June 23, 2007 Paint-out
Outdoor Painter and the Alamance County Arts Council are sponsoring a 1-day plein air paint-out.

Artists are invited to paint historic Quail Roost Farm. Owned and operated by the Hill family since the 1800’s, the farm consists of approximately 800 acres in Rougemont, NC, Durham County. This spectacular setting for artists is also a busy, working horse farm that includes stables, lessons, horse-leasing and showing.

In 1969, the farm was converted from a dairy operation to the horse farm it is today. Dairy barns were converted to stables and a veterinarian operation was located in the former milking house and bull barn. Three riding rings were installed and miles of manicured riding trails were cut through hundreds of acres of oak and pine forests. This gorgeous scene begs to be painted at every turn.
